Trying to become a better host or hostess? Need some new ideas for your next party? Check out this entertaining instructional film called What Makes A Good Party? from 1950.
I've only just found your wonderful blog and it's right up my street! I was searching for mid-century kitchens because we're having an extension on our 1930's house and I just love all things mid-century modern. I want to include lots of elements of the style without making the place seem like a retro film set, if you know what I mean.
Love this video. Hilarious. Can you imagine going to a party where there's no gin and tonic AND you're expected to take part in organised fun??
"Now let's look back: What made this such a good party?"
Wow! This was almost painful to watch! Jimmy Crack Corn??? It's obvious that Mississippi State College had yet too integrate. Painfully obvious. A little Fats Domino on the eighty-eights would definitely have livened up that crown.
I have always trusted Mississippi State College with my party planning. They're the best!
ReplyDeleteThose crazy kids sure know to party! ;)
ReplyDeleteObviously that should have read: "Those crazy kids sure know HOW to party!"
