The Sacramento Mid-Century Modern Home Tour

Sacramento Mid-Century Modern Home Tour

Over the weekend my husband and I attended the fabulous Sacramento Mid-Century Modern Home Tour & Car Show. We had a great time and saw some amazing homes and lovely old cars. We were eager to see how other people had renovated their mid-century houses and the tour provided us both with a lot of inspiration and fresh ideas. The crowd was great and we were surrounded by an incredibly diverse bunch of people of all strips who were obviously interested in Mid-Century design. Unfortunately we weren't able to take photographs of the interiors and we didn't get as many photos as we would have liked to due to camera troubles but here's a few highlights.

  1. Thanks for posting your wonderful pictures and glad you had a good tour experience. We tried really hard to show a diverse group of homes and I agree the crowd was equally diverse. Very happy to see that! Hope to actually meet you one of these days :)

  2. It was a blast! We really enjoyed ourselves and came away super inspired to work on our own home. I wish I lived closer and could get involved with Sacramento Modern. Maybe I'll be able to find like-minded folks in Napa some day, but in the meantime I wish you the best of luck with your future plans!

I really want to go back and explore Sacramento more. Maybe we'll come back in September when it cools down a little and we can get coffee or lunch? We'll stay in touch. :)

  8. Hi there! My husband and I also went on the tour and had a blast. The Koutchis residence (pictured above) was our favorite, but unfortunately didn't allow photography. :/ The event's blog just posted a link to my blog where I posted more photos of the tour, if you'd like to check them out. We're thinking of volunteering at the next one... Have a great day. I really like your reno photos!
